Fethy. Overview.
Fethiye is one of several resorts of the Turquoise coast of Turkey. Here is a wonderful beach holiday. Calis Beach is considered one of the best in these places.
Near Fethiye there are several interesting places where excursions are organized. The main ones are the tombs of Aminta, the ancient ruins of the cities of Tlos and Leton, as well as the Saklikent gorge.
Buggy safari, diving, paragliding and sea trips are popular activities. Hiking in Kabak-Koyu Nature Park is very popular.
The city of Fethiye is also interesting in terms of walking. Its oldest quarter Paspatur perfectly conveys the atmosphere of medieval Turkey. And to sit in the evening in one of the bars of Paspatur is an obligatory program for every visitor to rest in this place.
Fethiye is located on the border conditionally separating the Aegean and Mediterranean resorts of Turkey. Therefore, the city of Antalya may well become not only a city of arrival and departure, but also a place where you can go on an excursion.
Another interesting option would be a trip to the city of Marmaris. There you can catch a ferry to Greek Rhodes. In the latter, you can visit the beautifully preserved Old Town with a fortress and many museums. True, a Schengen visa will be needed for this trip.
