The main city of the Italian Adriatic Riviera is Rimini. This is not only the largest resort in this place, but also the gateway to the rest of the local recreation areas. The latter is due to the presence of an international airport. It is thanks to aircraft ownership that the majority of tourists come here. And only after arriving here, vacationers are divided into three parts.

One part continues southward along the coast. The second part of the arrivals remains in Rimini. And finally, the latter, rushes to the resorts, located on the Adriatic coast in the northern direction. One of the final points of this direction is Bellaria.

How to get there.

Bellaria is part of the municipality of Bellaria and Igea Marina. The border between them is the canal dug in the Middle Ages. Today, this water barrier has become, besides the dividing line, a popular place for walking.

The train from Rimini to Bellaria is only fifteen minutes ride or about thirty minutes by bus. Bus number 4 runs every fifteen minutes from 5.30 am to 2 am and once per hour at night. Trains run once per hour. However, in addition to public transport, car rental and private taxis are available.

Bellaria, despite the fact that it passes through itself two and a half million vacationers for a year, looks very measured even at the peak of the season.

Perhaps one of the reasons for this is the lack of a roadway between hotels and the beach. After all, this situation, on the Adriatic coast of Italy, is quite a rare occurrence. As a result of this planning, holidaymakers here, when leaving the hotel, have only two roads: one leads to the beach and to the sea, and the second to the city itself.

Still some 70 years ago, Bellaria was a simple fishing village. But the new trends and successes of neighboring resorts have changed this direction of the city's implementation. Local authorities revised the course of development of the city and chose tourism as the main direction.

And today, having passed through its streets, it is possible with certainty to say that this work was carried out very qualitatively and Bellaria deservedly uses its place under the sun as a worthy resting place.

What to visit in Bellaria.

Today the city center is the pride of Bellaria. And its main attraction is the park avenue Isola Day Platani. Its length is 800 meters and it connects two city squares: Matteoti and Minzoni. They are often performed by artists and magicians. In addition, there are often held all kinds of shows.

Alley Isola Day Platani is planted with plane trees, which are considered green lungs of the city. Thanks to the last indication, the alley got the second name - a health path, that is, a health path. As a consequence, a walk along it is an obligatory component upon arrival here.

The beaches of the city have a length of seven kilometers and along them are arranged about 400 hotels and holiday homes. All beaches are sandy, with protective breakwaters. The main beach entertainment on them are presented in full.

But if you still have some dissatisfaction with the beach holiday, you can always eliminate it. And as an alternative option there is an opportunity to visit Aquapel Aquapark. The water park is big enough and it's quite easy to spend the whole day here.

The main part of shops and restaurants is located in the pedestrian zone of the city. Stores mainly represent solid brands. From the architectural sights of the city, as a rule, all the guidebooks mark the Tower of the Saracens. This is really a serious architectural monument, depicted on the coat of arms of Bellaria.

At one time, it was part of the defensive structures of the city. They built it, like many other similar fortifications on the Adriatic coast, in order to protect themselves from Turkish pirates. The latter strongly robbed in these places from the 16th to the beginning of the 19th century. Today in the tower there is a maritime museum and a museum of banknotes. In the first one, the underwater species of the mollusks is widely represented.

Recreation.

In all Italian seaside resorts, rest means beach, sun and water, as well as other pleasant components of easy staying here. So a very pleasant place to walk in Bellaria is its canal.

At one time it was built for the needs of fishermen and represented a small transport artery. Today the fishing component has remained in the past and it is a natural harbor for boats and yachts. A promenade is laid along the canal, which is very interesting in the evening.

Nightlife in Bellaria is also available, although it is not as active as in the same Rimini. Of the nightclubs can be identified La BalerHarem C'è - Aquabell (located in the water park), Discoteca Mapo, Mapo club.
