Milano-Marittima.
Near Cervia, on the shores of the Adriatic Sea, which is washing Italy, is the more expensive resort of Milano Marittima. In principle, it is part of Cervia, but it is officially considered a separate administrative unit. Very interesting is the history of the spa.
It turns out that Naval Milan - so translated its name, was conceived by a group of entrepreneurs in Milan in 1911. And the main idea conceived, was the creation of an elite resort for the wealthy members of society. On June 1, 1911, the joint-stock company Milano-Marittimo was formed. This day is considered the day of the formation of the resort.
For the construction of the resort, after careful searches, a pine beach near Cervia was chosen. The main architect of the construction of an elite holiday destination was the famous Milanese architect, designer and artist Giuseppe Palanti.
Today in memory of him, in Milano Marittimo there is a house-museum of his name. Already in 1912 the resort opened the first chic hotels and Milano Marittimo began his direct duties to ensure the first-class holiday for the cream of the society.

How to get there.
To reach Milano-Maritime is not more difficult than to Cervia. From the latter, in addition to a taxi (12 euros), there is also a bus running at number 2 (back number 1). And otherwise everything is also: to Rimini with its international airport - 30 kilometers, to a similar airport in Bologna - 90 km. In both directions, shuttle buses run.
You can also reach the resort by train. To this end, the railway station of Cervia has a sign Cervia-Milano Marittimo. And from the station to the resort you can get by taxi or bus number 2. You can also rent a car. The latter is more convenient to take an arrival at one of the airports, having booked it in advance.
What to visit in Milano-Marittima.
Coming to a beach resort, you must immediately decide in terms of what to do. Or something to see, or somehow relax. But it is best to combine these two pleasant tasks. The beaches of Milano Marittima are completely sandy and very wide. The daily rental of a deckchair and umbrella costs 8 euros.
In addition to useful pastime on the beach, the services of holidaymakers are all set of active water and not only entertainment. There is riding on bananas, water skiing, paragliding. There are also scuba diving schools and instructors teaching to sail. In extreme cases, you can order a walk on a yacht or even combine it with sea fishing.
However, active rest is not only available on the coastline. The resort has tennis courts, golf courses and even the opportunity to ride horses, in an arena equipped for this purpose.
By the way, walks in the green zone, too, will not cause the surrounding people any perplexed looks. Because exactly because of this air, here goes a considerable part of tourists.
Evening and night life of Milano Marittimo also impresses with its scope. At least 115 bars, 98 restaurants and pizzerias, as well as eight discos, just will not let you get nostalgic.
In addition, the resort often hosts laser shows and other entertainment activities. There are also two water parks nearby. Here you can also spend time with great benefit to the body and nerves.
And since the restoration of one's health is an integral part of rest, one can not miss another interesting institution, located very near the resort. A place called Terme di Cervia is widely used for recreational purposes.
As the main healer, local thermal and mineral waters and healing mud, with a very rare composition of minerals, act here. Especially good are these natural medicines in the treatment of respiratory diseases. But other ailments are often surrendered under the influence of local healing sources, with a serious approach in the implementation of prescribed procedures.

About six kilometers from the resort there is another entertainment center. This is an amusement park Mirabilandia. Many people travel a few hundred kilometers to visit the center.
That is, if you are interested in roller coaster and other similar and not very attractions, then you should definitely visit this place. The only thing is - the park is very large and it is not always possible to use all the offers per day. The ticket for an adult costs 30 euros (25 online), children under 6 years old are free of charge. In the park there is a hotel and many cafes.
In August, a lot of people, so before the attractions are accumulated large queues, which can take a lot of time. The problem is solved by purchasing special V-Pass trinkets. They allow to pass without a queue, having pre-booked an attraction and having received a sound signal.
True, it costs as a second ticket, but it's worth it. But it does not apply to children's attractions.
