In the north-eastern part of the province of Valle d'Aosta is the ski resort of La Tuile. Only a few decades ago he was an ordinary miner's settlement. But with the advent of fashion in the ski resorts, money came here and La Tuile became a respectable ski resort.

However, the history of this settlement has its roots in the distant past. La Tuiler was once the last stop before the pass Mali Saint-Bernard, after which France begins. Earlier this Roman province was called Gallia. The remains of the Roman road, once leading to the above-mentioned Roman province, can be seen here even today.

How to get there.

However, today there is a highway linking Italy and France, but in winter it closes. And in order to avoid these inconveniences, a 22-kilometer tunnel was built, operating year-round. By the way, thanks to the tunnels, the nearest airport from La Tuile is Geneva, only 120 kilometers.

And for more convenience, vacationing here, between the Geneva airport and La Thuile, runs express, during the entire ski season. However, you can also get from the airports of Turin (160 km) and Milan (220 km). Many hotels offer a shuttle service.

The best transport for the resort is a car. Rented or your own, but the main thing is independent of the schedule, and ready at any moment to help get winded somewhere in an interesting place.

The length of the trails in the vicinity of La Thuile is almost 121 km. And their peculiarity is the fact that the complex, in the majority, are in the lower part of the mountains, and flat in the upper part.

There is a private bath with a bidet. No tv and parking. But there is Wi-Fi and own restaurant. The chefs of the restaurant are known for their cooked meals. Drinks in it correspond to the state of the soul of visitors.

Hotel Boton D'Or & Wellness is located 200 meters from the nearest ski lift. A little more than half a kilometer to the center of La Thuile.

The rooms are equipped not only with bedding and bathrooms, but also LCD TVs, free internet, minibars and coffee or tea making facilities.

The hotel has its own wellness center. It includes a fitness room, two saunas and as many hydromassage baths. There is free parking near the hotel and there is a shuttle service available. Excursions on horseback and on foot are provided for an additional fee.

Hotel Planibel is next to the ski slopes. This is a large hotel with its own restaurant, bar, indoor pool and mini market.
